A Different Kind Of Sound
The folks over at Wired Magazine (a perennial favorite at ThoughtOffice Towers) have put together a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the soundtrack for a new video game, Infamous, due out soon. Check out the video:
Wow. I love what Amon Tobin and associates have done in this soundtrack. Shades of Brian Eno, among others. Entrancing and unique. The creative and unusual ways they have used both traditional musical instruments and found objects brings a distinctly different sound into being.
The big take-away here: don’t be afraid to think outside the box, or use your tools and instruments in a different way. The results may astonish you – and everyone else.
To exploring new uses for everything,
