Sure, he’s got sufficient street cred and history. But he’s also formulaically hitting each high point:

  1. Craft a killer subject that is relevant, and has momentum.
  2. Push the PR and Interviews. Preload your market.
  3. Presell the book.
  4. Present. Often. In places that your target audience can see.
